Hajee A.P. Bava's life (1930-2010) was inspiring with a series of remarkable events. It was his enthusiasm, integrity; dedication and above all the humanitarian endeavors that enabled him achieve great heights within a short span. From a normal laborer, he soon became a renowned entrepreneur, by establishing Hajee A.P. Bava Construction Company, better known as HAPBCO, and later the APCO GROUP. He was totally absolved in whatever responsibilities he had undertaken and delivered quality services to his clients on time. Thus HAPBCO and APCO became trusted partners to many of the rich clientele across the nation and beyond.
A true follower of Islam, he had a humble living, and always believed that the purpose of life is to serve others, especially the poor and the downtrodden. Even while focusing on his professional commitments, he had enough time to extend his support and guidance to everyone, irrespective of social, political, religious, economical differences, who had approached him. He was instrumental in changing lives of many – especially that of his native place Chaliyam-Kozhikode and other neighboring areas.
Chaliyam, a remote village of Calicut, in the early days, was devoid of neither quality educational institutions nor any job opportunities for the poor people. Hajee A.P. Bava had taken serious initiatives and established an English Medium CBSE School at Chaliyam, and also provided jobs to thousands from the region. He was involved in each and every prominent activity in the region and extended his helping hand to all, and had contributed much for the growth and development of the region. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that people are indeed proud of Hajee A.P. Bava’s remarkable contributions to the society.
A true achiever in life, he was an enterprising businessman, an inspiring leader, a philanthropist and above all a good human being for others to emulate and excel in life.
